Roads in east London became gridlocked after police were forced to close a northbound section of the A12 this Tuesday. A man refused to leave the roof of a gallery in Leytonstone causing chaos for rush hour traffic and The All Clear Company.

Man on the roof A12 Traffic Chaos

A12 Traffic chaos!

The morning of the 01/12/09 a man entered the Leytonstone gallery and climbed to the highest point of the building and began to play a saxophone.

The northbound carriageway of the A12 which borders with the rear of the gallery had to be closed and a section of Grove Green Road cordoned off as a police negotiator attempted to talk the man down.

As ambulances and fire engines stood on stand by and two of our clearance teams came to a halt the man merrily played on.

After many hours of hard work our other clearance teams managed to complete all our jobs and our two two teams stuck on the A12 enjoyed the blues.
